As a result of extensive in-store operations, Tally features unparalleled accuracy and versatility

San Francisco, CA - June 10, 2021 – Simbe Robotics, Inc., the company leveraging robotics and AI to elevate the performance of retailers with real-time insights into inventory and operations, today announced that its industry-leading retail intelligence robot Tally completed over 75,000 miles of operation in-stores – the equivalent of more than three trips around the Earth.

First introduced in 2015, Tally solves one of retail’s greatest challenges, providing visibility to shelf conditions across the entire store. By leveraging extensive data collected through shelf scans, Tally provides actionable opportunities for retailers to lower out-of-stocks, improve price compliance and validate promotional execution. The robot operates multiple times a day during store hours, navigating seamlessly alongside shoppers and store teams without disruption or interference. As the only retail robotics solution on the market to offer both RFID and computer vision capabilities, Tally collects insights from both consumer packaged goods as well as soft-tagged goods like clothing and accessories.

“With every mile traversed in stores, we’ve continued to enhance Tally’s market leading computer vision and AI technology, creating a best-in-class solution for retailers,” said Brad Bogolea, Co-Founder and CEO of Simbe Robotics. “As a result of our diligent work to continuously hone Tally’s algorithms over time, we are now able to work in any store regardless of shelf configuration, fixture type or price tag format.”

Through operationalizing Tally’s data, retailers identify 2-15 times more out-of-stocks than manual store scans and reduce outs at shelf by 20-30% compared to stores without Tally deployed. Additionally, Tally manages the integrity across pricing and promotions ensuring optimized sales and mitigating penalties.

“Having now operated hundreds of thousands of autonomous hours and captured and analyzed over 1.5 billion images, Simbe has an unprecedented dataset on in-store operations,” said David Cortese, Chief Commercial Officer at Simbe Robotics. “Until the introduction of Tally, these insights were not available to retailers, but now are driving tremendous growth for retailers.”

To date, Tally has been deployed in more than a dozen of the top 250 global retailers in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Simbe Robotics has the largest global footprint of any retail intelligence robot, with public deployments with Carrefour, Decathlon Sporting Goods, Giant Eagle, the Save Mart Companies, and Schnuck Markets.
